Crowd Fund to Support Businesses

Green Business ConnectionsThe Southern Sustainability Partnership has set up a crowd fund in order to ensure the success of its 2017 B2B environmental management Expo – The Big Green Event.  Support for exhibitors and visitors alike, all in the drive to reduce our carbon impact.October 2017 will see the organiser’s second event, which has all the makings of a highly successful B2B support tool for the region and beyond.

The inaugural event was held at the Hilton Ageas Bowl near the city of Southampton, and attracted visitors from across the South, and even as far as Scotland.   These included RNLI, National Grid, YMCA, Hilton, Balfour Beatty, GSK, Ministry of Justice, Brittany Ferries, Kier and more. As well as SMEs and local authorities. Although we had quality visitors, said the organiser, we now need to extend our reach to ensure we maintain the support of our exhibitors and to help even more businesses benefit from the knowledge they will gain.

The first Expo was host to keynote speakers from IEMA, Google, Dorset Wildlife Trust and BAM Nuttall.  As well as up to 100 exhibitors they also organized a one-day circular economy conference, workshops on energy, waste and active environmental management. Plus, an impressive outdoor electric vehicle zone.

This is how you can be a part of the 2017 Expo and get involved in helping businesses become greener.
